Assistant Director for Regeneration
London Borough Of Enfield
Peter leads Enfield Council’s ambitious growth agenda – with responsibilities including regeneration, strategic planning, economic development and development management. Enfield’s growth agenda is one of the most ambitious in London; the Council is planning, on the back of Crossrail 2, for 70,000 new homes and 40,000 new jobs over the coming decades.
The Council’s flagship regeneration project is Meridian Water. Meridian Water is the £6 billion redevelopment of a large brownfield site which can accommodate 10,000 new homes, over 6,500 new jobs, new rail infrastructure and the full range of neighbourhood facilities. Under Peter’s leadership the project has been awarded Housing Zone status, 23 hectares of land have been acquired, a master developer has been selected and a planning application has been approved. Peter also manages Enfield’s pioneering estate renewal programme which includes a second Housing Zone (Edmonton Futures) as well as plans for a further 6,000 new homes including six projects which are on site.
In addition to his work at Enfield, Peter also sits on the board of management of a housing association.
