Why Building Social Value Makes Good Business Sense

23-Oct-2018
FUTURE LONDON SUMMIT

Social Value encourages businesses to think and act in a way which can influence and improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the industry we operate in.

For the AEC industry specifically we can look at the role of Social Value in future-proofing skills and professions within property and construction and how, by providing education and training opportunities for young people, we are giving them the tools they need to lead the way in the built environment of tomorrow.

In this panel session, you will hear from three organisations who are passionate about future-proofing the industry by bringing in young talent and tapping into vital new skills. We often talk about a skills-shortage in our industry, but being proactive about providing young people with both the opportunity and skills to excel in property and construction will go a long way to eliminating any future skills gaps.

Speakers
Elizabeth Crowther Hunt, CEO - Westminster Business Council
Fiona Clark, Practice Director - David Miller Architects
Paula Chandler, Senior Design Manager - Bouygues UK
