Passive Fire Knowledge Group Update – Leading Culture Change Through Collaboration
The PFKG is a unique non-for-profit collaboration comprising major contractors, specialist installers and relevant trade associations. The principal objective of the group is to work collaboratively to discuss and promote the myriad of complex and often overlooked technical issues associated with passive fire protection in buildings. The PFKG will work together with the Association of Specialist Fire Protection who will ultimately take responsibility for solving the issues with industry.
Passive fire protection is a critically important aspect of fire safety which impacts on all aspects of building design and is often a critical interface between the architecture, structure and building services. Getting it right continues to be a major challenge, especially where there is a need to overcome complex and multi-faceted issues to demonstrate compliance.
The purpose of this session is to update you on PFKG group activities, highlight some of our recent work and share our plans.
