The Chartered Society of Designers is the only internationally recognised professional body for designers in all disciplines with a Royal Charter, making the Society particularly relevant to the built environment sector. Our members practice not only in interior design and architecture, but many also design the products and services that ensure the success of buildings – from building product design, textiles, lighting, sound, wayfinding, furniture, services and UX/UI design.
The Society’s framework for professional design practice CPSK™, CPD structure, Knowledge Bank and resources coupled with a programme of accreditation for design courses provides support and development of designers at all stages: 'from learning to earning'™.
All the above underpin the pathway which culminates in the award of Chartered Designer qualifying designers to work seamlessly alongside other built environment professionals.
CSD holds and maintains the Register of Chartered Designers and can award this protected title across all design disciplines nationally and internationally.
CSD professional Members are recognised for CSCS professional cards.
