As Europe looks to return to the strong position it held before the Covid-19 pandemic, construction has been identified as a primary driver for recovery. Yet it now faces its own unique challenges:
-coming to terms with its transformation from a traditional to a more digitalised industry
-recognising the responsibility it has to address its carbon emissions and its use of raw materials
As the largest media source covering European construction, Construction Europe will focus on the issues affecting contractors of all sizes – including supply chain issues, the need to invest in new technology, the growing skills shortage and working within the European Commission’s New Green Deal. Predictions are dangerous, but it’s safe to say 2022 promises to be challenging, sometimes rewarding and, hopefully, very different to 2021.
