In addition to her life coaching work Melita was an international consultant. For more than 10 years she provided advisory service to international development agencies, specialising in development and implementation of strategic plans to meet social inclusion and reconstruction, economic, and infrastructural development needs. Her former roles include: Large scale holiday resorts masterplans consultant abroad. Accredited Parliamentary Assistant at the European Parliament in Brussels, Restoration co-ordinator at USAID Agency, Assistant to the the UNHCR Protection Officer, Local Advisor to the War Child Programme co-ordinator in Podstrana, Croatia, Detention, Tracing and Dissemination Officer at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technology (MCIAT), Associate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), Member Speaker of the Water Aid Speakers Network, Member of the National Governance Association, Governor of St Peter's Comprehensive School, Responder at Wessex 4x4 Response. Her interest include Conservation, Charity, Games (chess), Organising events, hikes and walks, Search and rescue dog training, Science, History and the promotion of the Knowledge Circle.
