Sharon Callcut, Founder and Director of Callcut Consultancy, is a management consultant, business mentor and coach, and marcoms specialist, B Leader for B Corp and Responsible Business Specialist for the Organisation of Responsible Business. Sharon has worked within the construction industry for many years, primarily focusing on business strategy and marketing communications. In recent years, Sharon has included biophilic design and sustainability within her portfolio. 'Hello, everyone, I'm Sharon. I started Callcut Consultancy five years ago to primarily work with construction companies to help them embrace an environmental and ethical approach to their business and help communicate their new positioning to their stakeholder communities. Since the pandemic, I've tweaked this initial concept and adapted it to include small businesses and start-ups to help them through these challenging times by assisting them to become more sustainable and gain accreditation for all their hard work. This decision was one of the best I've made throughout my career, as I've met some of the most amazing people on my journey, and hopefully even more at London Build 2023.' Driving sustainability in the built environment is essential for conserving resources, mitigating climate change, promoting economic growth, and ensuring the well-being of current and future generations. Achieving this vision requires collective efforts from individuals, communities, industries, and governments to create a more sustainable and harmonious relationship between human development and the natural world. London Build provides us with the vehicle to start these conversations, and I'm delighted to be part of that process.
