Assembly Point is the Fire Protection Association’s podcast launched in February 2021 to create a collaborative space where industry professionals, academics, policy makers, and other stakeholders in fire safety come together to explore current concerns and future challenges in the UK fire safety sector.
Hosted alternately by respected FPA technical experts, each episode dives into topics such as regulatory compliance, product testing, material safety, environmental impacts, innovation (including AI and digital tools), and risk management. The podcast places special emphasis on lessons from major incidents, such as Grenfell, and aims to ensure that such tragedies are not repeated through meaningful discussion and updated industry practice.
With a steadily growing audience, Assembly Point strives to influence the fire safety conversation in the UK — promoting evidence-based policy, raising public and professional awareness, and fostering collaboration across the sector to raise standards and reduce risk.
