The construction industry is the least digitised of all industries, according to a report by global management consultancy, McKinsey. Whilst the pandemic may have been a catalyst to influence a greater focus on operating in a digital environment, the construction industry training board for England, Scotland, and Wales; the CITB, reported many companies still have an ad hoc approach to operating digitally.
The four panellists who will broach this subject shall bring diversity, and a broad range of experience, including: a designer manager involved on major projects, such as the refurbishment of Parliament; an innovative project manager, and strategic business operator driving digital transformation through its clients; a digital twin and a metaverse-orientated engineer; a programme director of The Building Academy and senior lecturer at University of East London.
The Moderator is Chair of London Constructing Excellence, Elvin Box.
This prestigious networking event will officially kick start the programme within the Built Environment Networking Hub. This complimentary breakfast will be held in collaboration with Constructing Excellence, a long-standing industry body comprised of regional centres and local business clubs that are actively improving industry performance from buildings to infrastructure, all parts of the demand and supply chain, all disciplines, professions and trades.
London Constructing Excellence Club is the London regional club for National Constructing Excellence, the single organisation charged with driving the change agenda in construction, housing and regeneration. Their mission is to deliver improved industry performance resulting in a demonstrably better built environment.
