Have Your Say: acumen7 Launches Industry Survey to Shape Live Report at London Build 2026

At the start of October members of acumen7 visited Bletchley Park, the historic home of British codebreaking and a landmark in the development of modern computing, to prepare for their upcoming sessions at London Build 2026.

The visit provided a fitting backdrop for a conversation about how far technology has come, where AI could take the construction industry next and what professionals across the UK’s built environment really think about it.

But rather than making assumptions about the industry's relationship with AI, acumen7 wants to hear directly from the people working in it.

Ahead of London Build 2026 (25-26th November, ExCeL London), the network has launched a short, anonymous survey to explore how the UK’s construction professionals use and view AI.

Donnie MacNicol, Deputy Chair of acumen7 said:

“acumen7 visited Bletchley Park in October, the birthplace in many ways of AI, to prepare for our London Build session. From the survey we hope to answer some core questions: what do people in UK construction actually know about AI, how do they feel about it, and what can we do to make the most of the opportunity it presents? Six anonymous minutes will help shape the panel on 25 November.”

And this is where you come in! Whether you're already embracing AI in your day-to-day work, still figuring out where it fits or have reservations about its impact, acumen7 wants to hear from you.

The findings will take centre stage at London Build 2026, where acumen7 will lead two thought-provoking discussions:

  • AI in the Built Environment - What You Think and Need (25th November, 11:00 AM)

  • Shining a Light on the Real Issues Holding Back Change in the Built Environment - (25th November, 1:00 PM)

Following the event in November, acumen7 will be turning the survey results and live discussions into a full industry report, giving everyone who took part the chance to explore the findings and see how their views stack up. The report will be published through both London Build and acumen7 and made freely available, so stay tuned!

Your views could help shape the conversation onstage this November. Complete acumen7's anonymous survey and have your say on the future of AI in the built environment:
