Beyond Ventilation: How EnviroVent is Supporting Healthier, More Energy-Efficient Homes
1. Who are you, and what does your company do?
envirovent is a UK ventilation manufacturer with over 35 years’ experience in the residential sector. We work with developers, housebuilders, architects, consultants and specifiers, providing ventilation solutions alongside design, specification and technical support.
Our approach goes beyond supplying ventilation products. We support projects throughout the design and delivery process, helping customers meet requirements around Building Regulations, SAP compliance, airflow and indoor air quality.
2. What are you showcasing at elemental LONDON & London Build?
At London Build and elemental LONDON, we will be showcasing our domestic ventilation solutions, with a particular focus on Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) and d-MEV.
We are launching a new generation of MVHR. Our team will be available to discuss ventilation design, specification, compliance and the requirements of individual projects.

3. What industry problem does it solve?
As new homes become increasingly airtight and energy efficient, effective ventilation is essential to maintain good indoor air quality and manage moisture while minimising unnecessary heat loss.
MVHR provides continuous ventilation by extracting stale air from the home and recovering the heat from that air before it is expelled to atmosphere. The recovered heat is then used to temper incoming fresh air, reducing heat loss while providing a continuous supply of fresh air.
4. Who would benefit most from your solution?
Our solutions are relevant to housebuilders, developers, architects, specifiers, consultants, contractors and installers working across residential construction.
We also work closely with project teams from the early stages of design, particularly where ventilation strategies need to meet Building Regulations, SAP requirements, environmental conditions or Passivhaus requirements.
5. What makes it stand out?
Our approach is centred around providing the right ventilation solution for the building, supported by technical expertise throughout the project.
This includes ventilation design, detailed technical drawings, product specification and support with Building Regulations, SAP compliance and airflow requirements. Our technical and customer service teams, area specialists and engineers are able to support customers at different stages of the project and provide ongoing aftercare.
6. Why is elemental LONDON & London Build an important event for your company?
London Build brings together professionals from across the built environment and provides an important opportunity for us to speak directly with housebuilders, developers, architects, specifiers, consultants and contractors.
As requirements around energy efficiency and building performance continue to develop, events such as London Build allow us to discuss the role of ventilation within the wider building strategy and understand the challenges customers are facing across current and future projects.
7. Will you be launching any new products or running any live demonstrations at your stand?
Yes. London Build will see the launch of a new generation of MVHR.
Visitors to the stand will be able to see the new range and speak with the envirovent team about the product, its applications and how it can form part of the ventilation strategy for residential projects.
8. What do you see as the most pressing challenge facing the industry today, and what needs to change to address it?
There is a major challenge in terms of the skills shortage facing the construction industry. This feeds across all areas of construction, including ventilation, particularly with the increased compliance drive for both retrofitting properties as well as for new builds. With the enhanced regulations and standards in place, including the incoming Future Homes and Buildings Standards updates and the renewed need for competent persons, as the Warm Homes Plan and building methodology updates, the need has never been greater.

9. What’s your favourite thing about working in this industry?
The policy, educational and training piece including working with trade associations for industry best-practice. Being a part of that and creating products, presentations and literature that help people understand the benefits of ventilation, why it's so important and what they need to do to ensure that they live in a healthy and happy home. The feedback and knowledge that we receive that we are doing a good job and have helped people is certainly rewarding!
10. Is there a recent project or case study you would like to highlight?
One example is our long-standing partnership with Watson Homes, one of the North West’s leading housebuilders. envirovent began working with Watson Homes in 2017 and the partnership is now in its ninth year, with envirovent acting as its approved ventilation supplier.
Our work with Watson Homes covers a wide range of residential ventilation solutions, from single-room extract fans through to complete MVHR systems. As part of a major contract, envirovent has supplied more than 300 MVHR systems and 50 Mechanical Extract Ventilation systems for use across Watson Homes’ social and private housing developments.
The relationship also demonstrates the importance of technical support alongside product supply. We work with Watson Homes on ventilation design, Building Regulations, SAP compliance and airflow requirements, providing ongoing expertise across their projects
