More Than 100 Firms Join £1.5bn Framework

The Greener Futures Partnership (GFP) has more than 100 firms signed up to its retrofit framework worth £1.5bn. 

Housing consortium, GFP, has more than 100 contractors and consultants signed up to help deliver its retrofit framework, worth £1.5 billion. 

The GFP launched the framework in January, and closed bids at the end of February. 

The consortium is made up of five housing associations: Abri, Anchor, Home Group, Hyde and Sanctuary.

Representing 300,000 homes in the UK, the firms have come together to decarbonise their housing stock.

Some big firms involved in the framework include: 

• Kier.
• Vinci.
• Morgan Sindall.
• Wates.  

Smaller contractors have also signed up for specific areas of the project. 

The framework will span seven years, an initial four years with an option to extend for a further three. 

The Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) awarded around £95 million to the GFP to retrofit almost 5,500 homes over the next two and a half years. 

Open to all contracting authorities in the UK, the framework consists of three workstreams: construction work up to £5 million, construction work more than £2.5 million, and consultancy work. 

120 places are available in the framework, with works involving solar PV, heat pumps, insulation, wall and window installation. 

As Wave one of the SHFD draws to a close, Abri has retrofitted 88 homes to an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) band C standard.
