Here's a list of outdoor amenities at PayPal's new six-building, 728,000-square foot headquarters, which opened earlier this summer: a 175-seat theater, a bar, a cafe, and a game space framed by Redwood trees that includes Bocce ball, shuffleboard, foosball, billiards, and a putting green. Enough said.

The Berlin-based meal-kit company's London office has a multi-oven outdoor kitchen for food demonstrations, networking events, and--like most office kitchens--employee socialisation. The herb garden is particularly useful for the company's onsite recipe development efforts. It's an "oasis for our 100-plus colleagues,"'says one company spokeswoman. "A fantastic urban space that we really cherish."

The snowboard company's 150,000-square foot campus was originally built as a military industrial complex. Now, it houses an outdoor skate park open to the public, community garden plots for employees, a rooftop patio, and lots of outdoor roaming space for the 80-100 dogs that come to work daily.

Grove Collaborative ranked No. 87 on this year's Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in America, and its $104 million in 2018 revenue helped finance a newly renovated San Francisco office. The space, formerly a popcorn factory, includes a rooftop garden with "work nooks," a lemon grove (cue the rimshot), and views of the San Francisco Bay.

HomeAdvisor's new office in downtown Denver--which spans the top three floors of its eight-story building--features multiple balconies with sliding glass doors, lounge couches, and tables built to accommodate employees. The building's tenants also share an "amenities deck" with fireplaces, hammocks, outdoor ping-pong, and seasonal farmers market pop-ups.

The social media giant has been testing a temporary outdoor workspace since mid-August, and will wrap up its pilot program in mid-October. It includes eight desk spots, a lounge chair, coffee table, and some Carolina cherry laurels trees. Why test a temporary space? So you can move it inside when precipitation looms, a company spokesman says.

Bark's 22,000-square foot office in Columbus, Ohio, hosts 200 employees and 50 dogs daily. As such, it practically demands outdoor space: two outdoor decks and a dedicated dog run. The spaces feature grassy knolls and outdoor lounge furniture made from rubber and other easily cleanable materials. Woof.
