Having started her career as a mechanical engineering Apprentice, Abigail has successfully climbed the career ladder through assistant manager, to operations director responsible for MEP delivery on Battersea Power station, to Engineering director, responsible for strategic direction to high technology projects

"Whilst there has been a positive shift of diversity since I started my career, there is still a long way to go to achieve gender equality in the industry and indeed break the general bias towards construction roles. I believe we need to have a collaborative, cross business, targeted approach to appeal to the younger generation, on their level, to break the bias, and attract more diversity into construction."
