Aiden McManus

Aiden is a Chartered Surveyor with over 40 years’ experience in the public sector as both client and developer. He has worked in a vast range of building projects over his career with an award winning track record.  These include both new ( e.g., Canary Wharf, Bluewater, Bernard Wetherill House) and reuse of a wide range of Civic Buildings.

Aiden has worked at Waltham Forest Borough Council for the last  9 years as the Council’s Corporate Director for Property and Delivery. He is responsible for delivery of £1/2 billion capital portfolio. This includes award winning reuse projects, including Fellowship Square, redevelopment of the Town hall, Lea Bridge Library and Soho Theatre, Walthamstow, which is due to open next year. This is coupled with delivery of a significant range of new regeneration sites, focused on affordable housing delivery and community assets. This includes Coronation Square in Leyton. His Service is currently winner of UK Local Government Chronicle Large team of the Year 2023.
