Ailish Hendry is Marketing & Bid Co-ordinator at Eckersley O’Callaghan and has over 6 years’ experience in the construction industry and built environment. She studied Biomedical Genetics (BSc) at Newcastle University before pursuing a marketing career within the engineering sector. Over this time, she’s seen how the industry has changed and morphed to give a higher priority to the sustainability and carbon footprint of projects. At Eckersley O’Callaghan, a great deal of her time focuses on winning sustainable work as well as externally promoting our low embodied carbon research and development. As a female in an industry that is historically male heavy, Ailish helped found the company’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion group. She leads campaigns across the company, both in London and globally, to improve EDI for all staff and raise awareness of EDI topics. She now wishes to extend these endeavours further afield outside of Eckersley O’Callaghan.
