Alan Harper is Chairman of Morham + Brotchie Partnership, a leading firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors. With over 40 years’ experience, much of it in the cultural and heritage sectors, Alan has worked with organisations such as the National Trust for Scotland, The Royal Household, Historic Royal Palaces, and various building preservation trusts. His notable projects include The Great Pagoda at Kew Gardens, Sumburgh Head Lighthouse, Rosslyn Chapel, the National Museum of Scotland, the Queen’s Gallery, and the Patrick Geddes Centre. Since founding the practice in 1990, he has also become a specialist in insurance reinstatement valuations for listed and historic buildings.
