Alan is a passionate champion of DfMA and offsite delivery, currently leading a strategic innovation workstream at Laing O’Rourke which brings together product development, design process optimisation and digital integration – pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in modern construction. 

Alan spent the first years of his career delivering innovative traditional and MMC engineering solutions in multiple sectors as a chartered engineer at Ramboll. He then embarked on a journey of innovation at L&Q, developing an MMC roadmap for a large residential masterplan, and was instrumental in shaping L&Q’s standard product portfolio and award-winning DfMA Toolkit. 

His vision: to embed product-led thinking and a kit-of-parts approach at the heart of how we build, transforming outcomes across sectors.
