Originally from New Zealand, Alister brings a wealth of leadership and operational expertise to ACT, a super-prime main contractor and property care provider delivering the construction, refurbishment and long-term care of exceptional private residences across London and the Home Counties. 

His early career in management, spanning roles in the hospitality and funeral sectors, honed his skills in team leadership, logistics and problem-solving under pressure. After moving to the UK in 2004, Alister progressed to a directorship at a leading architectural design and construction practice before co-founding ACT in 2012.

Today, Alister leads the company’s business strategy, operational growth and leadership development, ensuring the business continues to deliver exceptional projects while maintaining a strong focus on quality, collaboration and client service.

Beyond his professional role, Alister is a passionate advocate for mental health, supporting a range of fundraising initiatives. Most notably, he completed 21 marathons in 21 days in support of Mind, raising more than £9,000 for the charity.
