Allister Lewis
Founder and CEO,
ADDD
Allister Lewis is an architect and BIM manager with more than 25 years' experience. He is the founder of ADDD, a UK research and intelligence business that tracks around 1,900 AEC software tools and advises architecture practices on which to adopt and how to make them work together. He also presents AEC Tech Futures, a YouTube channel on new design software and how practices use it, and writes the weekly ADDDitive newsletter. His current focus is early-stage design, where browser-based and AI-assisted tools are changing how quickly a site can be tested and whether that work sits with the design team or with the developer. His view is that the technology is rarely the problem, and that the decisions made around it usually are.
