Anna Godleman is the Head of Sustainability at Barnet Council, leading a dynamic team and the borough’s strategic response to climate change and adaptation. Barnet’s award winning sustainability programme BarnetZero is centred on place-based climate solutions, with collaboration and partnership at the core of the response to the climate emergency. Building on insights from a citizens’ assembly on climate change, recent initiatives in the borough include collaborative responses to extreme heat, the launch of repair cafés, and the establishment of a community energy fund. Anna is also the Vice Chair of the Local Government Association’s Sustainability Action Network.
