Archanna is responsible for bridging the gap between McLaren’s group and project level sustainability strategy. As a former structural engineer at Arup and sustainability consultant specialising in embodied carbon, Archanna applies holistic thinking and identifies bespoke solutions. Her key focus is on ensuring the company's Scope 3 commitments are met, properly evidenced and the strategy managed to do so. With her carbon experience she supports the McLaren team on the embodied carbon workstream during Tender, PCSA, and Project Delivery by focusing on feasibility studies, improving processes, and gathering lessons learned and successes from projects. Archanna also looks after McLaren’s data collection and annual reporting.

With McLaren’s sustainability team putting a focus on Global Risk and Business Resilience, Archanna is working closely with the supply chain team to understand the impacts of where our materials come from through supply chain mapping. This new focus really brings together the Environmental, Social and Governance aspects of sustainability.

Additionally, Archanna plays a key role in upskilling McLaren and our stakeholders, from pre-construction to site teams, ensuring the individual impact their role has on sustainability is understood. This fosters innovative thinking and embeds sustainable practices into every project across all stages.
