Having worked with various Tier 1 contractors in the industry for over 20 years, Ashley began her career in work winning, spending 10 years bidding whilst the second half has been engrossed in the world of communications and marketing. She has also been heavily involved in Morgan Sindall’s EDI steering board which has gathered momentum, particularly in the last four years.

Ashley has witnessed the huge shift in focus towards prioritising wellbeing in the workplace. From complete disregard to acknowledging you’ll only get the best out of your workforce by putting their health front and centre of their employment, the landscape has shifted dramatically but there’s still so much more to do. Overwhelm, burnout and extreme pressure to deliver are a daily occurrence with flexible and home-working initiatives less readily available to site workers; a comprehensive wellbeing scheme needs to be securely in place for all construction teams.
