Becky Wright is an Award Winning Mental Health Trainer, psychotherapist and coach. She is chair of the Mental Health in Employment Network in her local region, Guardian of the Building Mental Health Programme for Construction and a CITB approved training organisation. She set up New Leaf to pursue her passion for offering good quality and effective counselling along with an innovative pop up workplace wellbeing sessions which have proved to be a big success. In May 2019 she delivered a Mental Health in Construction Conference in Somerset which attracted 100 SMEs in Construction to learn about mental health awareness and offer them a toolkit to use in their businesses. She has been a huge advocate for SMEs and Mental Health / Wellbeing believing that they often lack the HR and Employee Assistance Programmes which support their larger competitors. She recently won the Innovation in Business Award for her work in developing new business models to deliver wellbeing to SMEs. She held her own counselling practice for 28 years and now brings that expertise into her delivery of Mental Health Awareness Courses and has spoken at many conferences and events. She believes that wellbeing and meaningful business go hand in hand and she delivers many free community projects where she brings communities together to tackle the high incidences of suicide within professions believing that business also needs to be for social good. Her work in construction has been supported by the Lighthouse Charity and the Building Mental Health Programme becoming one of their approved Mental health First Aid Trainers.
