Carlos Bausá Martínez is Head of Sustainability and Senior Associate at Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) in London. Joining in 2019, he co-founded the in-house Sustainability Team, where he now leads efforts to meet global carbon reduction standards and certifications like LEED. Specializing in computational design and environmental analysis, Carlos integrates sustainability strategies into projects to optimize energy performance. Prior to ZHA, he spent several years as an Associate, Environmental Design Analyst at Foster + Partners. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Alicante and a Master’s from the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC). He is also LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C) and UK Non-Domestic Energy Assessor. Additionally, he has taught at prestigious institutions including the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) in London, Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Barcelona, and the University of Monterrey (UDEM) in Mexico.
