Since joining the studio in 2016, Carlos has been responsible for the design and delivery of key global projects, including Lantern House, a two-tower residential development along the High Line in New York, and Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal 5. Carlos is instrumental in realising a design concept’s complex geometry into a built scheme, ensuring design quality control and working closely with manufacturers to create bespoke material finishes and details.

He is currently working as Project Leader of the transformation of the 14-acre Olympia London site, creating a modern exhibition destination with restaurants, hotels, performance venues and office space, as well as creating 2.5 acres of new public space. The new development is due to open in early 2026.

Prior to joining Heatherwick Studio, he worked at Zaha Hadid Architects as a Lead Designer for six years, overseeing multiple projects including KAPSARC, a new 66,000sqm research campus in Riyadh for the ARAMCO oil company of Saudi Arabia. Prior to this, he worked at Rogers Stirk Harbour (RSHP) and OMA.
