With two decades of experience in UK sustainability consultancy, Carolina has worked across engineering consultancies, architectural practices, and development banks, delivering high-impact projects from policy advisory to large-scale masterplans. Their expertise lies in building performance analysis, particularly operational energy, and climate change adaptation, spanning planning to post-planning stages to ensure strategies are effectively implemented.
Notable projects include net-zero-ready refurbishments in Westminster, and City of London, where achieving top BREEAM and WELL ratings and integrating circularity, low-carbon materials, rainwater harvesting, biodiversity-positive design, and green infrastructure.
On Barking Riverside masterplan, the sustainability approach include energy from waste, 5th-generation heat networks, SUDs, and overheating mitigation, ensuring resilience to climate change.
Carolina has also been technical reviewer for LLDC and contributed with her experience to the planning workstream at NLA, Epping and Hackney review panels.
