"Some people think that when they lose a limb that their life is over…it’s not, it’s the start of a brand new one. I don’t consider myself as disabled, I’m just Cath with a piece missing! (not necessarily my leg!)"
Catherine has been working at Amey for the past 5 years, starting off as a Trainee Technician and worked her way up to become a Traffic Signals Graduate Engineer. She is also Inclusion and Diversity Ambassador, after losing her left leg to cancer at the age of 7. This has never stopped her from breaking down the barriers of the social norm and encouraging others to do the same. Catherine believes that disability should never stop anyone from being who they want to be as she always wanted to be an Engineer, which she has now achieved.
