Charity Whitehead

With a conviction that architecture is more about people than buildings, Charity has synthesised her design work in the education sector with supporting young people entering the built environment professions. Specialising in school design at Jestico+Whiles, she has worked on the design and construction of projects in the state and private sectors. Alongside this, Charity leads her practice’s outreach work, managing key partnerships organisations including Open City, RIBA and Matt+Fiona. She developed a mentoring scheme for students at schools that the practice has designed, which aims to broaden access to architecture and encourage young people to consider creative careers. As a member of the New London Architecture’s NextGen committee, she has contributed to the NextGen Rising initiative.
