Chartered Project Management Surveyor, Look Ahead Care, Support and Housing

My current job role is Planned Works Project Manager for Look Ahead, a specialist provider in Care, Support and Housing operating across London and South-East England. In my role I deliver the planned and major works programme, which proudly enables me to align my commitments of social investment and building construction. It is important that we continue to realise how critical buildings are to the wellbeing, health and identity of people who inhabit them. I am therefore proud of my work at Look Ahead where I can combine the functions of care, support and housing to realise suitable housing for our Customers. I am proud to have recently graduated with Honours in Quantity Surveying at London South Bank University and have since achieved professional designation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) as a Chartered Project Management Surveyor. In my organisation, I actively promote and campaign for diversity and inclusion, working as a Committee Lead for our Diversity Network ‘Cultural Diversity’. I am proud to be a Black Woman in Construction, and am keen to be visible to encourage diversity and positively disrupt the current demographic of the industry,

Statement:

I am proud to be a Black Woman in construction and the built environment. We all need to support and welcome more diversity within the sector to encourage a new pool of talent, diversity of thought and lived experiences. This will support a new wave of innovation that will enable us to build sustainably, and efficiently achieve the ambitions of the industry.
