Chithra Marsh

Chithra Marsh is National Chair of Women in Property (WiP) and Architect and Director at Manchester-based, BCorp-accredited Buttress Architects, an award-winning design studio working across the residential, heritage, education, hotel, ecclesiastical, and arts and culture sectors.

At Buttress she is responsible for coordinating and strengthening its social value initiatives, an ethos she is highlighting in her year as National Chair.  Over the course of her career, Chithra has advocated for inclusivity and diversity in the industry in a bid to bring about positive change. 

In addition to her role with WiP, she sits on the RIBA National and Regional Councils, Standards Committee, RIBA Journal editorial committee and is co-chair of RIBA North West’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Chithra’s aim is to help curate a sustainable future for the profession by promoting equity and inclusivity and shaping a future for the next generation.
