Chris Blencowe is Environmental & Sustainability Director at Parkeray, where he leads the integration of sustainability across workplace fit-out and refurbishment projects. With over 15 years of experience in the built environment sector, Chris is a recognised expert in sustainable design, environmental certification and low-carbon project delivery. He is a BREEAM Accredited Professional, WELL Accredited Professional and Fitwel Ambassador, with extensive experience supporting some of the UK's most high-profile commercial developments.

Throughout his career, Chris has worked with occupiers, designers, contractors and developers to embed sustainability into project decision-making, helping clients achieve ambitious environmental objectives while maintaining commercial viability. At Parkeray, he has been at the forefront of advancing embodied carbon reduction strategies within office fit-outs, promoting circular economy principles, material optimisation, responsible procurement and data-driven carbon assessment.

Chris is passionate about demonstrating how the fit-out sector can play a critical role in reducing whole-life carbon emissions and delivering workplaces that are both environmentally responsible and future-ready. His practical experience across major commercial projects provides a valuable perspective on the challenges and opportunities of decarbonising the built environment.
