Chris Dowling leads on Future Talent and Organisational Development at Vistry, with responsibility for shaping early careers, skills, and capability activity across one of the UK’s leading mixed-tenure housebuilders.

Having led early careers for over 12 years, predominantly within financial services, Chris brings a broad cross-sector perspective on how organisations can build sustainable talent pipelines and future-ready workforces. His work is centred on shaping talent strategies that respond to evolving business needs, changing workforce expectations and long-term skills challenges. He works closely with senior stakeholders across the business to influence thinking around capability, development and the future of early careers within construction.

Chris is particularly interested in how the construction sector can improve routes into the industry, make better use of apprenticeship levy funding, strengthen performance management and assessment, and create clearer development pathways for diverse and emerging talent. He is passionate about the role of learning, collaboration and innovation in helping the sector respond to current and future skills challenges.
