Councillor Robert Whitton

Councillor Robert Whitton is Cabinet Lead for Regeneration at the London Borough of Havering, where he provides strategic leadership for the borough's ambitious regeneration programme and directs the Havering Growth Company. Working closely with residents, businesses and partners, he champions investment, housing delivery, town centre renewal and sustainable growth that benefits local communities.

Bringing both public sector leadership and extensive experience from the property and development sector, Robert has spent 35 years working in the real estate sector as a Principal, giving him first-hand insight into the opportunities and challenges involved in delivering new homes, infrastructure and regeneration projects.

Under the new Administration at Havering, Robert plays a key role in delivering Havering's 2040 Vision, the borough's long-term plan to create a thriving, inclusive and sustainable place where people can live, learn and earn and businesses can invest, grow and thrive. 

The vision focuses on delivering high-quality homes, supporting economic growth, improving transport and infrastructure, enhancing public spaces and ensuring local communities benefit from investment and regeneration.
