Cristina Lanz Azcarate

Cristina Lanz Azcarate is a RIBA Chartered Architect, design educator, and the Co-Founding Director of Atelier EURA, a London-based practice dedicated to creating architecture shaped by purpose, clarity, and a deep human focus. Drawing on twenty-five years of professional practice across complex project delivery, practice strategy, and higher education, her work explores how design, culture, and technology shape our Built Environment and communities.

Outside the studio, Cristina is a long-standing advocate for equity, culture, and professional development within the built environment. Having previously served on the RIBA Expert Advisory Group for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, she continues her active work on the committee for the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) London and South East following a nine-year tenure as Chair. She remains a dedicated mentor across multiple industry programmes, supporting emerging talent and fostering inclusive networks across the sector.

As the NAWIC panel moderator for AI Usage in Recruitment, Cristina will bring a human-centred lens to the debate on emerging technology in talent acquisition. Balancing the preservation of human agency, equity, and empathy in automated contexts, she will explore how the built environment could harness rapid technological advancement while safeguarding candidate value, mitigating algorithmic bias, and fostering genuine human connection across the workforce
