Damien is Head of Whole Life Carbon at BAM UK & Ireland, where he leads strategic approaches to carbon management, circularity and climate adaptation across the business. With a background in economics and an MSc in Carbon Management from Edinburgh Business School, he brings a commercially grounded, systems-level perspective to decarbonisation in the built environment.

Over the past decade, Damien has held leadership roles at Arup, Mott MacDonald and Costain, focusing on embedding climate action, carbon-based decision-making and PAS 2080-aligned practices into global business strategies and major construction programmes. He is a lead technical author of PAS 2080:2023, helping to define the industry standard for whole life carbon management in buildings and infrastructure and supporting organisations to turn net zero ambitions into practical delivery.
