Daniel O'Dowd

Daniel is Senior BIM manager for fire safety in the UK and Global BIM Lead for fire safety within Arup. He has expertise in BIM management, digitization, data structuring and taxonomy. He has led the implementation of data standardization across large scale national infrastructure projects, vastly improving coordination of fire safety information in the design stage resulting in a reduction of risk for construction. Prior to his time in Arup, he worked in architecture in both the UK and Australia, delivering highly awarded buildings from concept to completion, including the most sustainable retail centre in the world. He currently sits on a nima working group looking to provide further guidance to BS 8644-1 – The digital management of fire safety information.
