David Metcalfe

David Metcalfe is a physics graduate with a Master's degree in Fa'ade Engineering.
David is responsible for the day-to-day running of CWCT, an industry funded organisation, with in excess of 350 Members representing all sectors of the fa'ade industry.' CWCT carries out training and produces technical standards and guidance documents on all aspects of fa'ade engineering.'
David lectures extensively on the subject of building physics, glass and fire.
Current work includes updating CWCT's fire guidance and a new focus on sustainability, with CWCT providing key leadership in the area in relation to facades.'
He is a Board member of the Society of Fa'ade Engineering (SFE) responsible for Education, is past chair of the SFE Fire Committee and is a member of SFE Technical, Building Safety Act and Membership Committees.
