Elizabeth joined Let’s Build as a part 1 graduate in 2019, passionate about architecture and outreach in the industry. She has worked as a core part of the team coordinating panel events engaging in industry topics and boosting engagement with students and professionals from underrepresented backgrounds.

She joined Scott Brownrigg as an apprentice in August 2021 and has been involved in numerous residential mixed-use projects in the UK and internationally, from concept to delivery. After winning the AJ100 New Talent (Part 2) award this summer for her outreach and social value work in practice and the wider industry, Elizabeth became a qualified and chartered architect after completing the Level 7 Architectural Apprenticeship with Oxford Brookes University.

In 2024, Elizabeth was elected to the EOT Committee as one of its most junior members. Within the team, she has worked with others on mentoring initiatives to boost the company ethos and morale with an ambition to broaden the scope of workplace mentoring and make the initiative more accessible to all people across the business. In addition to her role in the EOT committee, Elizabeth is part of the Equity and Social Value sustainability group in practice working on boosting social value in project work across all sectors through the development of project resources, reviews and client engagement.

Elizabeth is a core member of the team leading Scott Brownrigg's Future Talent Programme, which is focused on boosting access and opportunity in the architecture industry for young people from school to postgraduate levels with a particular focus on those from underrepresented backgrounds.

As a designer, Elizabeth has a multidisciplinary art background encouraging a more dynamic and open-minded approach to architectural design which was reflected in her Part 2 final design thesis exploring vertical villages in high density urban environments. This project explored a new people-centred residential typology integrating social amenity spaces throughout the building to create vibrant, accessible activity anchors above ground level and within the building envelope. This new typology built on existing research, exploring ways to rationalise the successful urban design principles of Jan Gehl within mixed use developments with the complexity and density of a rapidly increasing urban populations. With an ambition to bring people back to the centre of design, prioritising community and social value over finance, Elizabeth is determined to contribute to a more equitable and socially sustainable society through her work.
