At 23, I am one of the youngest fire door inspectors in the UK with over 5 years’ experience. I started in the construction industry at around 14 years old during weekends and holidays with a wide variety of duties such as: maintaining, installing and manufacturing acoustic movable walls and dwelling construction/ renovation. At college, I accomplished 2 years of beauty therapy with full distinctions but realised that my previous experience, knowledge and passion is wasted. Therefore, I pursued a role within the passive fire protection industry and have now achieved the Cert-FD designation by the FDIS and SMSTS qualifications.
