Statement:

How can we possibly deliver equitable buildings, places, and infrastructure when their design and construction is undertaken by a narrow section of the end users? Increasing women, and diversity generally within the construction industry means brining in wider skill sets and fresh perspectives to a challenging industry that is already suffering a skills shortage, and one that can be notoriously slow to evolve. The focus must go beyond attracting women into the industry, but also retaining them, and what the industry can do to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all those that are currently underrepresented.
