I entered the construction industry working as a construction site supervisor in the Caribbean. After quickly realising that site is not female friendly I started doing Quantity Surveying. After moving to the UK I formalised my Degree in Quantity Surveying and Construction and went on to do my masters in Construction commercial Management, all while working in the industry. I am now a Chartered Construction Manager' with the CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building). With 20+ years' experience in cost assurance, procurement, commercial and contract management, I joined F+G 2 years ago and my career spiraled from there. I am the Equality and Diversity Co-Lead for Complex Infrastructure, People Lead'for the Estimating and Cost Team and currently the lead assurance consultant on Euston Station for High Speed 2.
