Graham Haworth

Founding Partner, Haworth Tompkins

Graham is a founding partner of Stirling Prize winning architects Haworth Tompkins. He leads a diverse portfolio of work covering new and existing buildings across multiple sectors including mixed-use regeneration, commercial, housing and culture as well as placemaking and masterplanning developments.

Graham has significant experience of working on landmark buildings with complex technical briefs for clients such as the Royal College of Art and Kingston University. He is a leading advocate of industrial co-location and mixed-use regeneration work, which overlaps housing provision with employment space to create new ways of living and working, as evidenced in the recently completed award-winning regeneration project at Fish Island Village, whose considered masterplan has evolved into a high-quality mixed use urban quarter.

He was instrumental in securing London & Regional’s successful acquisition of Albert Island in London from the GLA, for advanced manufacturing, research and education space. Most recently Graham led the development of Industria in Barking, the UK’s first multi-storey light-industrial scheme for client Be First, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham's regeneration company.

Graham has lectured and been a visiting critic at a number of leading schools of architecture including the University of Cambridge, the AA, Yale University and Georgia Tech. He has also contributed to several publications and television programmes on architecture, including The Art Show, Dreamspaces, and Buildings That Shaped Britain.
