Helen is Director of Practice for international collaborative architecture and interior design practice, Scott Brownrigg. Based in the Practice’s London head office, Helen is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of programmes to maintain and enhance the high levels of technical competence and expertise across the whole practice. Committed to sustainability, diversity and inclusive design Helen supports the implementation of new initiatives to support delivery of Scott Brownrigg’s strategic objectives and values and to maintain best practice standards. Scott Brownrigg are an RIBA Practice Role model and Chartered Practice.
As a chartered architect, Helen has long specialised in education design, and is well recognised through her collaboration with industry bodies. She is currently a member of the board of RIBA, having been a member of RIBA council, the RIBA/ DFE Design Liaison Forum and former Convenor of the RIBA Schools Client Forum. She was a founder member and co-chair of Architects for Change, the RIBA’s Equality & Diversity Forum; and Chair of the RIBA Inclusive Design Committee. She participates in the CIBSE School Design Group and Research in Practice Group with a particular interest in developing collaboration and cross industry learning on building performance. She is the co-author of a book on “Urban Schools” to be published shortly by RIBA.
