Jess Payne is Director of Social Value at Compass One, Compass Group UK&I, where she leads a team to embed social value into operations that deliver positive impact for colleagues, clients, and communities. With a strong background in HR and business management, Jess champions inclusive, values-driven cultures that attract and retain diverse talent. A Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, Associate Practitioner with the Institute for Social Value, and a Social Value Doctoral student, Jess combines academic insight with practical expertise. Her work is grounded in a commitment to equity and sustainability, ensuring social outcomes are central to organisational success.  Jess works closely with ESS Infrastructure, our specialist division that provides facilities management to construction worksites and villages, working to recruit talent from the often remote communities we work in and developing skills and careers opportunities as part of the legacy we leave behind at the end of each project.
