Jo has been a Director of Levitt Bernstein since 2006, and leads their Major Projects housing studio. With vast experience of designing and delivering innovative housing, her key role has been to champion housing quality and imaginative design solutions at masterplanning and detailed design scales; an approach that has been rewarded with numerous award-winning schemes that she has led from inception to completion. She is co-author of the acclaimed second edition of The Housing Design Handbook, published in 2018, and is currently Chair of the NLA’s Expert Panel on Housing. Jo is also an RIBA External Examiner for Sheffield University School of Architecture and a member of several Design Review Panels across London. Jo sits on the RIBA National Awards panel and is an invited critic at a number of schools of architecture, including the AA, University of Cambridge and University of Newcastle.
