Over 11 years as an environmental consultant in the built environment, providing design advice across a range of disciplines, including energy efficiency, visual & thermal comfort, outdoor pedestrian comfort, energy strategy, carbon emissions reduction, building regulations compliance and environmental certifications schemes. From a background in Architecture and Urban Planning read in Brazil, Joanna has joined chapmanbdsp 10 years ago, soon after graduating from an MSc in Sustainable Environmental Design in London. Fluent in 4 languages and working in projects located in a variety of countries and continents has enabled an ample repertoire of publications, including the RIBA Journal, CIBSE Journal, German architectural e-magazine ArchiPlus and co-authoring a book on The Environmental Building published in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
