Joanna is a Chartered Environmentalist and Associate Director at Savills Earth, where she leads on sustainable design and energy strategy across buildings and masterplans. With a foundation in Architecture and Urban Design and an MSc in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association, she brings over 15 years of experience delivering low-carbon, high-performance environments across residential, commercial, educational, and cultural sectors. Her architectural training allows her to bridge the gap between technical analysis and design communication, translating complex sustainability outputs into visually engaging, accessible content that supports informed decision-making across multidisciplinary teams.

Her work spans strategic masterplanning and detailed building retrofit, with a focus on reducing energy demand and carbon emissions through integrated design, performance modelling, and bespoke sustainability strategies. Joanna has supported housebuilders, developers, and local authorities in embedding sustainability into large-scale housing developments. Most recently, she has been applying a bespoke sustainability framework developed by Savills Earth for a major UK housebuilder, ensuring a consistent and holistic approach across future sites that goes beyond minimum planning requirements to deliver meaningful environmental and social value.
