Joanna Palinski is a director at JP Project Management Ltd (trading as Joanna Group) which manages residential and light-commercial projects, including interior design, refurbishment, structural projects, and maintenance projects. Her passion to interior and building helped her to develop the career in construction. As a woman in construction, she believes that her soft skills like communication, empathy and emotional intelligence-those that women have a natural inclination toward, yet have historically been written off are being recognised for their values in business. Joanna has no doubt that the natural skills she brings to the mix make the world of difference to her company success and especially working with men. She brings ‘female touch’ to the construction projects that she heads. She leads and motivates a male-only team to achieve greatness and go an extra mile to satisfy their clients. Through it all, she’s worked hard to continue educating herself. Joanna strongly believes in personal development. You can never stop educating yourself, she says. To be able to support her employees she qualified as a mental coach. She loves helping and encouraging others and in 2020 she co-founded Women’s Business Link a prominent organisation aimed at promoting diversity and inspire women to fulfil their true potential.
