John Mannell serves as Technical Officer and Training Manager at the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF), where he leverages extensive operational and installer experience to advance industry standards and promote workforce competency. In his role, John provides expert technical guidance to GGF members and plays a key part in developing Good Practice and Consumer Guides that shape best practices across the sector.

A committed advocate for safety and education, John has chaired both the GGF’s Health & Safety Committee and the London Region, championing initiatives around mental health awareness and youth engagement in construction. He is actively involved in enhancing competency pathways in glazing, site supervision, and construction management, and contributes to national efforts through his participation in working groups within the Industry Competence Steering Group (ICSG).
